Installing Etomite Lite

Well, the lite version of Etomite is now shipped with the heavy version - you just need to upload the parts relevant for your type of install.


If you want the heavy version, just upload the entire Etomite Archive's contents.


If you want the light version, then firstly, before you upload anything, do the following:

  1. Navigate to the install folder, then into SQL.
  2. Remove the etomite.sql file
  3. Rename the etomite_lite.sql to etomite.sql
  4. Navigate to the templates folder.
  5. Remove all the folders EXCEPT the AlexisProRedux one.
  6. Upload the rest to your webserver.
  7. After you've installed, as per the normal Etomite instructions, remember you will need to set your error page ID to 3 rather than 6

Also, If you don't want any WYSIWYG editors, then before you upload in Step 6, do the following:

  1. Navigate to the manager folder, then into media.
  2. Remove the RTE and TinyMCE folder.
  3. Remove the iBrowser folder.
